Top 11 Cars of all time?
I like cars that can do a lot of things. Be safe, practical, look good, and most of all, handle great. In some words, a compromise.
Unfortunately/fortunately, because they can do many things, they often don't sell that well. Good side is they are relatively cheap to buy used, but they are hard to find.
Below are some cars that I think are awesome, though not in order of priority.
23/31 mpg, rear wheel drive, functional hatchback design, what more do you need?
Always loved these, esp with FUCHS wheels.
The Quattro that started the whole craze.
Wonderful handling, incredible motor, looks great.
The ULTIMATE audi?
Awesome 4WD capability with functionality of the pick up.
With the powerful 4 litre 6 and good handling, it's amazing they still don't sell these.
The AEV version is simply awesome.
Amazingly, handles well, fairly peppy with amazing gas mileage.
These are the deal of the decade; used 1999-2000 for about $20k. Got to get the wheels though.

BMW M-Coupe
This was meant for one thing: handling! The convertible version was already amazing. With the stiff top put on, it's even more rigid. Ultimate little coupe.
BMW 318ti
23/31 mpg, rear wheel drive, functional hatchback design, what more do you need?
1985-1989 Audi 5000/200 turbo wagon
Always loved these, esp with FUCHS wheels.
1982 Audi Coupe Quattro
The Quattro that started the whole craze.
2000 Audi A6 4.2

Wonderful handling, incredible motor, looks great.
2004 Audi RS6

The ULTIMATE audi?
1964-66 Toyota FJ-45
Awesome 4WD capability with functionality of the pick up.
Jeep Comanche

With the powerful 4 litre 6 and good handling, it's amazing they still don't sell these.
Jeep Scrambler/AEV Conversion

The AEV version is simply awesome.
Toyota Prius
Amazingly, handles well, fairly peppy with amazing gas mileage.
BMW 7-series with ''James Bond Wheels''
These are the deal of the decade; used 1999-2000 for about $20k. Got to get the wheels though.

Have to disagree with the BMW 318ti- you forget one thing...its fugly.
Some other great daily drivers IMO- BMW 540i, E36 M3, and the B5 A4 (mid-late 90s).
For balls-out handling on a reasonable budget- who doesn't love the FD RX-7.

Twain, maybe one of those Mercedes C43s (now 5-7 yrs old) ...302 hp is no longer a novelty in production...I like the 'sleeper' cars .
New Corvette too: lighter than a WRX STI! and base model not so stratospherically spendy.

STill dunno why it won't let me join the blogger community. Every possible username on earth seems to already be taken - which I think is a) impossible and b) discrimination(or something).
Anyway bag the ugly 83 audi quattro in favor of the homologation car - the Audi Quattro Sport..those were shortened, had 305bhp, sweet air intake slots in the hood and kevlar body panels.
Speaking of rally cars, how about a Ford RS200? Lancia Scorpion, Lancia Delta S4 Integrale?
And back to audis - the RS4 wagon: Duh!
You have to cut bait on those 5000TQ/200TQs. They were cool when MC Hammer was cool, but now they just drink money. Worst idea ever -sharing brake and power steering master cylinder. WTF: Every week a different $500-$2000 part is the new weakest link in the system.
